One main goal of our group is to understand metabolic adapation mechanisms of human T cells in disease-affected organs with the goal to improve diagnostics of autoimmune, allergic and infectious diseases as well as cancer. A detailed understanding of these mechanisms will pave the way to develop tailor-made T cell-based immunotherapies that hold the promise for precision and patient-centered medicine for the next decades.
